Mindset is a hot topic these days. In speaking with people I have learned emotions come first, then feelings, then m-a-y-b-e the right decision will set in. When it comes to behavior change, there is one stream of thought that is consistent on choices we make every day to be successful or wait until next opportunity.
- Nutrition. What we eat literally fuels our day. It can long-last fuel us, sugar spike fuel us, or tide us over until next meal fuel us. Foods should not have emotion tied to it. Listen to your body and what brings lasting energy and good recovery. The healthier you become, the healthier your nutrition will naturally be.
- Movement. Decide a week or a month ahead to take class, hire a trainer, go for a hike. Map out a win-win plan with movement on every level and maybe with some cool company.
- Attitude. Choose positivity every day. There is always stress. There will always be obstacles. Choose to create solutions, smiles, and strides and you will be successful.
Motivate yourself to own your decisions and your life will open up to happiness, successful training plans, and a stocked fridge. Don’t ever stop working with purpose.
